Lisa Lustgarten Byala

Lisa Lustgarten Byala has worked in recruiting and executive search since 1998, including five years at the international global executive search firms, Heidrick & Struggles and Spencer Stuart, in the Education and Not-for-Profit practices. She specializes in placing Presidents and Executive Directors, senior development professionals as well as administrative and functional leaders in academia, research institutes, foundations and arts organizations. Prior to her tenure in executive search, Ms. Byala was a recruiter for the national law firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, and she worked in publishing for Random House’s BantamDoubledayDell, Knopf and Vintage Espanol divisions.

Ms. Byala is a cum laude graduate of Barnard College with degrees in Spanish and French and has a Master’s Degree in Spanish and Latin American Literature from the University of Virginia. A former board member of the Tuesday Evening Concert Series in Charlottesville, Virginia and of the chamber music group Bachanalia as well as a volunteer at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Ms. Byala is actively involved with the United Jewish Appeal and with Barnard College’s alumnae fundraising efforts.

     


Stephanie Cuskley

Stephanie Cuskley is the Chief Executive Officer of NPower and the Executive Director of its flagship affiliate, NPower NY. She brings more than twenty years of diverse management, organizational development and leadership experience to her role. Stephanie began her career as an investment banker, first with Drexel Burnham Lambert in the mid-1980s, and then as an Executive Vice President with Integrated Resources. She joined JPMorgan Chase (then Chemical Bank) in 1994, where she spent many years in High Yield origination. In 2001, shortly after the bank’s acquisition of JP Morgan, Stephanie was chosen to lead a new CEO-sponsored, organization-wide leadership development program. Beginning with the firm’s top 200 executives, and subsequently expanding outward to all 86,000 of its employees in the U.S. and abroad, this initiative helped JPMorgan Chase create and foster the cooperative leadership culture that has made it one of the largest and most successful companies in the world today.

Stephanie serves on the New York Commission on Women’s Issues and on the Resource Development Committee for the United Way of New York City. She is also a member of the boards of directors of two public companies, Insituform Technologies and Avantair. She earned her BA from the University of Toronto, and holds an MBA from Cornell University.

Steven Eckhaus is chair of the executive employment practice of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. He has negotiated hundreds of employment agreements and his clients include many of the most well known leaders of Wall Street. In trials and appeals involving significant public policy issues, Mr. Eckhaus was responsible for expanding the scope of protections for U.S. executives employed by foreign corporations and the landmark case establishing the legal basis for protecting family caregivers. In each of the past three years, he has been recognized as a Super Lawyer in the field of Employment Law, and in May 2009 he was named by Human Resource Executive as among the 100 Most Powerful Employment Lawyers in America. Mr. Eckhaus is on the Advisory Board of the University of California at Hastings Law School Center for WorkLife Law, the Cornell University Library Advisory Council and is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York.
     


Lynn Zuckerman Gray

Lynn Zuckerman Gray is the Founder and CEO of Campus Scout, LLC, which provides strategic campus-recruiting services for corporations and Transition and Career Coaching for Millennials. For more than eleven years, Lynn was with Lehman Brothers/Barclays serving until 2008 as Global Chief Administrative Officer of its Real Estate Group. Lynn has a long history in financial services, initially as an Attorney, then as a banker with Integrated Resources, LaSalle Partners, Artemis Capital, and DLJ. Before joining Lehman, Lynn was with Capital Lease Funding, a niche commercial mortgage boutique.

Lynn has a B.S from Tufts University and a J.D. from the Cornell Law School. For many years she has been member of the Advisory Board of the Cornell Program in Real Estate where she chairs the Career Services Subcommittee. Lynn is a member of the Adjunct Faculty of the NYU Graduate Program in Leadership and Human Capital Management and the Fordham College of Business Administration where she teaches courses in Succession Planning, Leadership and Change Management, Managing Millennials and Advanced Employee Recruitment, Selection and Retention. She is a frequent speaker and writer on real estate, finance, career development, entrepreneurship and diversity topics.



 


Joanne M. Hill, Ph.D.

Dr. Joanne M. Hill serves as Head of Investment Strategy at the ProFunds Group, the world's largest manager of short and leveraged mutual funds, including ProShares exchange-traded funds that span global markets and asset classes. Her responsibilities include portfolio strategy research and marketing. Joanne retired from Goldman Sachs as a Managing Director in February where she spent 17 years leading global equity derivatives strategy, focusing on institutional applications of ETFs, futures, options, swaps, and index portfolio trading. Her responsibilities for Goldman also included serving as a relationship manager to endowments, foundations and pension funds.

Prior to coming to Wall Street, she was on the finance faculty of the University of Massachusetts (Amherst) and was a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Board. She received a Ph.D. in finance from Syracuse University, an M.A. in international affairs from George Washington University, and an undergraduate degree in International Service from American University. Ms. Hill has published extensively, with recent articles in the Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Portfolio Management, and Journal of Trading. She serves on the board and heads the research committee for the “Q” Group and is on the editorial board of the Financial Analysts Journal and Journal of Indexing. She has been honored as a recipient of the William F. Sharpe Indexing Lifetime Achievement Award, top rankings for her Goldman team in industry research surveys, and alumni of the year from the School of Management at Syracuse University.



     


Cornelia Kiley

Prior to joining Russell Reynolds Associates, Cornelia worked at the Bank of America, where she served as Managing Director and Head of Institutional Distribution for the Columbia Management Group. Prior to that, she was with the Lend Lease Corporation as Chief Marketing Officer, Lend Lease Real Estate Investments. Previously, she worked at Chase Manhattan Bank as Managing Director and Head of Global Sales and Marketing, Chase Asset Management. Formerly, Cornelia was one of the original Partners and Head of Marketing and Sales with Seix Investment Advisors, Inc. Before that, she held sales and relationship management positions with Neuberger & Berman and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co. Her early career was spent at AT&T in various management positions.

Cornelia received her B.A., with honors, in political science from Goucher College. She received her M.A. in public policy analysis from the Robert J. Milano Graduate School of Management and Urban Policy, New School University, where she was the Erwin S. Wolfson Scholar and was elected to the Phi Alpha Alpha Honor Society.



     


Stella Lagudis

Stella Lagudis is responsible for facilitating cross-selling across BNY Mellon by developing and implementing targeted campaigns and strategic sales initiatives across the company's products and services worldwide. Her responsibilities include creating strategies that help to position BNY Mellon’s capabilities to meet the complex needs of clients and prospects, as well as advising various business partners on how to effectively deliver the entirety of BNY Mellon. She joined The Bank of New York in March 2002 as Head of Marketing, Business Origination, and Relationship Management for the company's investment operations outsourcing business.

Prior to joining The Bank of New York, Stella was a Managing Director and Chief Administrative Officer at Smith Barney Capital Management (now part of Legg Mason Asset Management), and Group Vice President at ABN AMRO Bank, N.V.

From 1982-1994, Stella held various leadership positions at J.P. Morgan; including serving as Vice President and Group Executive responsible for U.S. mutual funds. Stella graduated from Brooklyn College and is a member of the Women’s Bond Club of New York. Stella is also a founder and executive committee member of BNY Mellon’s Women’s Initiatives Network (WIN) and serves as Chair of the WIN Mentoring Initiative.

Geraldine Méhu

Geraldine Méhu has been with UBS Wealth Management for six years and serves as Head of Product Strategy. She oversees a team responsible for supporting all business groups within Wealth Management Solutions, including positioning the firm's investment and advice, products, field investment and product communications strategy, and third party manager relationships. Previously, she served as Head of Strategic Communications for Investment Solutions, Products and Services. Geraldine commenced her career at UBS as Head of Diversity for Wealth Management US and later transitioned to the business to establish the Private Wealth Management Desk. She managed a team of specialists who serviced Private Wealth Advisors, advisors who managed $10M and above.

Prior to joining UBS, Geraldine served as an Associate Director at Barclays Capital. Previously, she spent 6½ years in politics as Deputy Press Secretary for former New Jersey Governor Christine Todd Whitman. Geraldine was the 2001 Excellence in Public Service Series Recipient, a 2002 Leadership New Jersey Fellow, a recipient of the 2005 “40 Under Forty” Award, a 2005 and 2006 UBS Global Leadership Experience (GLE) Participant, 2007 UBS Global Circle of Excellence Award. She is a board member of the Financial Women's Association, Marylawn High School, and a member of the Executive Leadership Council (ELC). Jane Newton

Mindy Propper

Mindy joined The Knowledge is Power Program (KIPP), a national network of charter schools in December of 2009. Working closely with key groups at the KIPP Foundation, Mindy leads a team focused on providing seamless support to the network’s regions and schools to enable rapid and sustainable growth. Mindy transitioned to the non-profit sector after 25 years of practice as a consultant with KPMG Consulting (BearingPoint), where Mindy was Senior Vice President and Managing Director in the firm’s Financial Services Practice and led the New York office. She has consulted with global financial institutions formulating and assisting in the implementation of strategic business plans, assessing customer management approaches and practices and directing large-scale performance improvement and merger and integration projects. Mindy was the global recipient of Top 200 Financial Services Consultant (2005, 2006).

No stranger to the non-profit world, Mindy has served on several prestigious boards, providing professional and financial development including Theatreworks USA. Most recently, Mindy was the COO of The LEAGUE, a school and web-based network that teaches and empowers students to actively participate in community service. She holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Fordham University and earned her undergraduate degree from Franklin and Marshall College.



     


Stewart J. Schwab

Stewart Schwab has used his advanced training in economics to inform his scholarship and teaching in the field of labor and employment law as well as tort, contract, and corporate law. After obtaining both a J.D. and a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan, he clerked for the Hon. J. Dickson Phillips of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, and then for Justice Sandra Day O'Connor of the U.S. Supreme Court. He joined the Cornell Law School faculty in 1983, and has been Dean since 2004. The author of numerous articles as well as Employment Law: Cases and Materials (4th ed. 2007) and Foundations of Labor and Employment Law (2000), Schwab currently serves as a Reporter for the American Law Institute Restatement of Employment Law.



     


Mei-Mei Tuan

As an investment banker with Goldman Sachs, BankAmerica and BankAustria, Mei-Mei led domestic and international transactions in project finance, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, syndications and sale leasebacks. Mei-Mei's operating experience includes serving as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at two nationally prominent non-profit organizations: the Sierra Club Foundation and the San Francisco Food Bank. Prior to founding Notch Partners, Mei-Mei ran a thriving independent consulting practice, completing assignments for over twenty clients, including several private equity-backed companies, private equity funds, and large corporations. Her current client relationships represent a range of industries including media, apparel, consumer products, publishing, medical technology, telecommunications, and enterprise software.

Mei-Mei is a frequent speaker at events and on panels which promote and support women business leaders and managers. She is an active board member of the New Jersey Women's Forum, New Jersey Network (New Jersey public television and radio), the Harvard Business School Asian Alumnae Association and the Wellesley College Business Leadership Council. Mei-Mei was selected by NJBIZ as one of the "Best 50 Women in Business" of 2008. Mei-Mei is fluent in Chinese and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Wellesley College. Peggy Wallace

Peggy Wallace is a Managing Director of Golden Seeds and a Managing Partner of the Golden Seeds fund. Peggy was a founding member of Golden Seeds in early 2005 and was instrumental in building the nationwide angel group with the founder. Golden Seeds is a network of over 100+ investors that invest in early stage high growth companies owned and led by women entrepreneurs. The portfolio encompasses various sectors, including internet, consumer goods, and life sciences. Peggy's 20+ year career prior to becoming an investor was in financial services. The majority of her career was with J.P. Morgan/Chase where she specialized in structured finance, risk management, and financial services M&A.

Peggy retains board positions with private companies Chromis Fiberoptics and gDiapers. She is also a member of the NY advisory board of ASTIA, a not for profit business accelerator focused on female entrepreneurs. She holds a BA from The George Washington University.



     


Kathryn M. Welling

Kathryn M. Welling graduated in 1974 with a B.S. from the Medill School of Journalism of Northwestern University. The "Woodstein" wannabe joined Dow Jones & Co. as a copyreader for the AP-Dow Jones wire service. In 1976, Kate talked her way into an editing job at the Wall Street Journal, but left the paper later that same year when Alan Abelson offered her the opportunity to report and write full-time for the Barron’s. In December 1981, Abelson promoted Kate to assistant to the editor and claimed the managing editor title in February 1983. Kate relinquished the managing editor’s post at the magazine at the end of 1991 to take an extended maternity leave after the birth of her second child. She rejoined Barron’s in May 1992.

In 1999, Weeden & Co. LP CEO Barry Small offered Kate the opportunity to create an independent research service in association with that respected institutional brokerage firm. The first issue of welling@weeden, her biweekly journal of investment news analysis and research, featuring Kate’s trademark interrogatory journalism, was distributed to clients of her partners at Weeden.
